A 5-Week Beginner Pottery Wheel Class for Adults

Discover the joy of working with clay in our 5-week Adult Beginner Pottery Wheel Class at Glotfelty Pottery. This class is designed for adults who are new to the wheel or who want a guided, confidence-building introduction to wheel throwing.
Over five Thursday evenings, students will learn the foundational skills of pottery making, including centering clay, opening and pulling forms, shaping basic vessels, trimming, surface preparation, glazing, and understanding the firing process. The class moves at a beginner-friendly pace with lots of hands-on instruction and plenty of time to practice.
Whether you are trying pottery for the first time or returning after years away, this class offers a welcoming studio environment where you can learn, create, and grow.

Instruction, clay, glaze, firings, and use of wheels and studio tools during class.
